HPSPP Break through Technology
Many industries use high pressure pumps for slurry transport or cutting. The
higher the pressure, the higher the transport rate or the more effective the
cutting efficiency; however current triplex pumps cannot handle slurries at high
pressures due to extreme wear and shortened lives. For abrasive cutting, a
slurry system is 400% more efficient than an air induced system. A 15,000 psi
slurry system then, is as efficient as a 60,000 psi air induced system.
Pumping a mixture of abrasive solids suspended in a liquid (slurry) at high
pressures and high velocities causes extreme wear on internal pump parts,
necessitating frequent and expensive overhauls. Alternative methods utilize
batch processes that are tedious and labor intensive. The standard air induced
systems with downstream solids mixing, utilizing 2 nozzles, is significantly
less efficient than slurry systems.
The IST solution is a patented process that injects a clean fluid into the
pumping cycle that isolates the moving pump parts from the abrasive material and
improved valving that extends the life 5-10 times that of standard piston pumps.

Who we are:
IST is dedicated to bringing Abrasive Slurry Jetting (ASJ)
technology to industry from the solids mixing, to the source base
slurry pump, rate and pressure controls and the specialty nozzle or
cutting tip.
What we believe:
The IST proprietary High Pressure Slurry Piston Pump (HPSPP) will
revolutionize the slurry pumping industry, extending the life of
comparable pumps by five to 10 times, and proving up to 400% more
efficient cutting than air-induced cutting methods. IST will save
your company capital and operating expenses.
What we do:
IST brings the full range of slurry technology to industry,
including the cutting edge, patented High Pressure Slurry Piston
Pump and related proprietary technology through the manufacturing of
new pumps for a variety of applications, kits to modify existing
pumps and complete cutting systems.
